Yalnızgöz Bridge was built hundred years later after Beyazid II Bridge, connecting the city to Complex of Sultan Bayezid II, had been built beetween 1484-1488, when Tunca River changed its watercourse.

The Bridge has a large span in the middle, with four smaller ones on the sides.

Some additions were made to the bridge in later periods. Osman Nuri Peremeci says “Yalnızgöz Bridge, that conencts Edirne to Sultan Bayezid II Bridge like an extension, is abridge with a single niche with a 6.60 m span, which was built by Sinan the Architect in the name of Selim II.” The name of the bridge does not exist in Sinan’s biographies.
