Edirne Saray Hamam was able to reach its originality from the structures of Edirne Old Palace, which was started in 1358 by Murat I. is the only structure.
The construction of the Edirne Saray Hamam was completed in 1365 and was added to the palace during the reign of Yıldırım Bayezid in the second half of the 14th century.
The building, which is one of the most beautiful examples of Turkish bath architecture, was built by Sultan II. After Selimiye Mosque was built by Selim (Sarı Selim),
transferred to the mosque as a foundation; It was transformed into a public bath in the Sultan Selim Foundation.
On the other hand, the mosque, which served during the construction of the Selimiye Mosque, served the cleaning needs of its employees.
