This area where the tombstones brought from Edirne’s many churches and chambers are exhibited is on the back street of Selimiye Mosque. It is possible to see hundreds of tombstones belonging to the Ottoman period.
The tombstone of the 70 janissaries was restored in the area and is exhibited in the area of the Ottoman Tombstones which were created in the garden of the Selimiye Museum of Islamic Art.
