Kanuni Bridge was built by Sinan the Architect by the order of Sultan Suleyman The Magnificent across Tunca River in Edirne Sarayiçi between 1553-1554.

The bridge is a massive one solid to the level of middle abutment coping stone. Equally sized abutments are at the sides of the middle pier. There are no drainage units in the abutments. In the second, third and fourth piers, there are triangular fender piles.

Two arches of the bridge were damaged and repaired after flood of 1902. The last repair was done in 1990.
