The building has two floors and is one of the earliest examples of Ottoman khans.
Cut stone and brick is used in the structure. Upstairs there are 31 rooms.
It is estimated that it was built in the first half of the 15th century as a construction year.
During the reign of the Governor Rüstem Pasha (1846) the building was repaired and converted into a prison, and until 1949 it was used as a prison.
Governor Hacı İzzet Pasha (1891 – 1892) was seen to have undergone repair, in addition to the prison infirmary and 4 rooms were added.
The multi-purpose hall is in this area.
On the southern facade of the building there is a book written by Mustafa Razi (Çipanlı Razi).
On the floor belonging to the restored building, there are painters with the painter Hayri Çizel in Edirne and
Hasan Rıza Exhibition Halls in Edirne and administrative rooms in the upper floors.
